In September 2017, Chan-hyuk enlisted in the Korean Marines for his mandatory military service, thus temporarily halting all Akdong Musician activities until his return. Following his enlistment, Su-hyun made her first acting appearance on Netflix’s Temporary Idol.
In early 2018, it was revealed Su-hyun had been casted to join JTBC’s Begin Again 2. Filming took place in Portugal and Hungary. Later in the year, Su-hyun released a soundtrack for tvN drama Mr. Sunshine, as well as made a featuring for Jannabi on their digital single, “Made in Christmas”.
